Bison area opened
Between september 1st 2023 and March 1st 2024 the Bison route of 3 kilometres in National Park Zuid-Kennemerland will be open for public. Will you be exploring by yourself or guided by the ranger?
Looking for the Bison!
The Bison made its first appearance in the Kennemerduinen in 2007. The Europese Bison, as it's called, is endangered. Are you visiting the campsite at the end of the campingseason, then it's a nice activity to have a search for these imposing animals.
The hike is 3 kilometres long and can be done on own initiative but there are also guided tours with the local ranger.
Attention!
Dogs are not allowed, not on the leash either. Please walk in a low pace, considering the animals, running is not allowed. Stay on a minimum of 50 metres distance when you spot them.
